Help with Moroccan/Algerian Arabic

Dear Funknetters,
I need some information about spoken Moroccan/Algerian Arabic (for
example the pronunciation of the /q/, which is apparently realized
as [g] with certain words). Might any of you be able to give some
basic information or suggest someone who can? (Jeff Heath seems to
be incommunicado).
