Job notice: Assistant Professor Linguistics: Phonology and TESOL

The Department of English at Old Dominion University invites applications for an entry-level tenure track appointment in linguistics with specialties in phonology and TESOL to teach undergraduate, M.A., and Ph.D. courses. The M.A. Program in Applied Linguistics specializes in empirical and usage-based approaches to the study of language. Required: Ph.D. in Linguistics or Applied Linguistics by August 15, 2014; qualified to teach courses in phonology, TESOL, the TESOL practicum, and other linguistics courses as needed; evidence of scholarly productivity and good teaching. The ability to teach language and communication across cultures, History of English, language and gender, and experience in distance learning a plus.
