  EXTENDED Call for Papers Deadline: 7 January 2008
  The 8th International Symposium on Language, Literature and Stylistics hosted by Ýzmir University of Economics, Faculty of Science and Literature, Department of Translation and Interpreting will be held between May 14-16, 2008. We invite academicians and writers to contribute to our symposium in the following fields
  ·        Translation Studies
  ·        Language Teaching
  ·        Literature, Comparative Literature, Literature Education
  ·        Linguistics and Applied Linguistics
  ·        Stylistics
  The presentations can be made in English, Turkish, French and German. 
  Keynote speakers of our Symposium will be:
  ·        Christina Schaeffner
  ·        Gisela  Redeker
  ·        Terry Lamb
  ·        Eckhart Hötzel
  Abstracts for papers  must represent original, unpublished research relevant to the content of the symposium. All abstracts (250-300 words) should be accompanied by the title of the paper. Papers that are accepted will be allocated 30 minutes, including question and answer session. Abstract proposal may be submitted by e-mail via symposium web site:

  IMPORTANT: The symposium contributions will be published as different books on related disciplines, namely translation studies, literature, language teaching and linguistics . Article format and submission date will be announced later.
