Dear Jane,
I don't know boyfriend style either, but there are the two books *Packaging
Girlhood* (St. Martins Press) and *Packaging Boyhood* that are about that
very topic, advertisements and gender. You could see if they have anything
in there for your student. They are both excellent books by faculty at
Colby College in Waterville, Maine, USA. Best of luck. Liza
