Special issue of Politics, Groups, and Identities

For this special issue of Politics, Groups, and Identities, we seek
manuscripts showcasing new research on gender and political psychology.
Relevant topics would include, but are not limited to, stereotyping,
intersectionality , media representations, socialization, leadership,
inequality, decision-making, group dynamics, sexuality, and identity. We
welcome manuscripts from any subfield of political science or area of
psychology.

Each issue of PGI, the new flagship journal of the Western Political Science
Association, contains original research articles, review essays, and a
critical
dialogues section. Manuscripts of any of these three types can be submitted
for the Gender and Political Psychology special issue. PGI review essays
typically take one of two forms: reviewing multiple books or reviewing
research within a specific area. A critical dialogues section could contain
a
group of research articles addressing the same topic, a set of essays
exploring a common topic, or one research piece or essay with several
responses.

All manuscripts submitted for this special issue will follow PGI's typical
external review procedures. Manuscripts are to be submitted online at PGI's
ScholarOne Manuscripts site by June 1, 2014. Authors should indicate in
their cover letters that the manuscript is being submitted for this special
issue. Additional author instructions are available at the journal's
website:
