Due to numerous enquiries we decided to EXTEND the SUBMISSION DEADLINE
until 20 JANUARY 2014.

We are happy to announce that the Young Linguists’ Meeting in Poznań
(YLMP2014) will take place on *4-6 April 2014 in Poznań, Poland*. The
Meeting will be organised by the Faculty of English, Adam Mickiewicz
University, Poznań (our website: www.wa.amu.edu.pl/ylmp/). Young Linguists'
Meeting in Poznań (YLMP) is a congress organised by and for young linguists
who appreciate the significance of interdisciplinary research and therefore
want to go beyond the traditional branches of linguistics. The leitmotif of
the upcoming 2014 edition of the congress is:

*"Directions in interdisciplinary linguistic research: Embracing
diversity".*



The *plenary speakers* are renowned specialists in their fields:

 Paul Baker (Lancaster University, UK)

Katarzyna Dziubalska-Kołaczyk (Adam Mickiewicz University, Poland)

Johanna Kissler (Bielefeld University, Germany)

Gregory Króliczak (Adam Mickiewicz University, Poland)

Heiko Motschenbacher (Goethe-Universität, Germany)

Srikant Sarangi (Aalborg University, Denmark)

Jane Sunderland (Lancaster University, UK)



Apart from plenary talks, the meeting will offer a spectrum of *thematic
workshop sessions* and presentations in interdisciplinary linguistics.

Who can submit?

> students enrolled in a BA, MA or a PhD programme
> BA- and MA holders
> PhD holders up to five years after their defence



Suggested research areas for block sessions are as follows:

> psycholinguistics / neurolinguistics / clinical linguistics
> cognitive linguistics
> sociolinguistics  and discourse studies
> language and meaning
> language and gesture
> language and technology
> language teaching methodology
> language and artificial systems
> translation studies
> language, gender, and sexuality



Each paper will be given 30 minutes, including 10 minutes for discussion.
There will also be a major poster sessions.



The language of the congress is English.

The venue: Collegium Biologicum, is located in the city of Poznań, on a
university campus Morasko. The CB building has modern lecture halls and
computer labs.
