<P>Ana Mª, the expression "community of practice" is translated into Spanish as "comunidades de práctica". A very well-known study on this is the one by Penelope Eckert and Sally McConell-Ginet (1995) "Constructing meaning, constructing selves. Snapshots of Language, Gender, and Class from Belten High". In Kira Hall & Mary Bucholtz (eds.) <EM>Gender articulated: Language and the Socially Constructed Self</EM>. New Yorik: Routledge, 469-507. There are other articles written by them which can also be of your help, but I regret to say that I haven't got the references. </P>
