<P><FONT face=Arial size=2>IGALA is seeking between 5 and 8 members for the
Advisory Council, to replace current Advisory Council members. We are looking
for as broad a geographic spectrum as possible (in particular,
non-English-dominant countries). One Advisory Council member will be a Graduate
Student Representative. The other members should be able to represent key areas
of gender and language research, and, together, a range of research
priorities.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT face=Arial size=2>Advisory Council members will be part of the IGALA
Executive Committee and will attend (in person or electronically) all meetings
if at all possible. The first of these will be at IGALA5 in Wellington<SPAN
class=424133123-26112007>, New Zealand (July 3-5, 2008)</SPAN>; the next will be
an e-meeting around 12 months after that. The term of office will be 3
years.</FONT></P>
