<html><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; "><h3>Linguistics and English Language: Lecturer in Sociolinguistics </h3><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial; ">The University of Edinburgh seeks to appoint a permanent, full-time Lecturer in Linguistics & English Language within the School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences.</span></div><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">You will have a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in sociolinguistics or a very closely related academic subarea; experience of teaching sociolinguistic topics at university level; and an excellent and developing research programme in an area that has potential for attracting external funding and relates to sociolinguistic variation or other social aspects of language.
