</font><font size=4>The Ethics Team is delighted to be hosting “Graphic
Medicine at Work” at<b> 6pm on Friday 27<sup>th</sup> April 2012</b> in
the Lecture Theatre at Brighton and Sussex Medical School, University of
Sussex Campus. Presenting their comic works, <b>Dr Muna Al Jawad</b>
(Consultant in Elderly Medicine, BSUH – talking about comics as a
qualitative research method); <b>Nicola Streeten</b> (Billy, Me &
You, 2011 – a graphic novel of grief and memory on the loss of her
two-year old son); and <b>Nye Wright</b> (Things to Do in a Retirement
Home Trailer Park, 2012 – a moving portrait of a young man coming to
terms with his dying father) will reflect on how comics and graphic
memoirs can be a vehicle to illustrate issues around health, illness,
life, death and clinical practice. The presentation will be followed by a
Q&A session.<br>
