You may be interested to see the attached programme for the children's

literature conference I'm co-organising: <i>A Brand of Fictional Magic:

Reading Harry Potter as Literature</i>, hosted by the School of English,

University of St Andrews, 17-18 May. There are several panel addressing

fairy tale and genre influence on the series, as well as more general

topics such as its literary influences and socio-political

interpretations.<br><br>

popular, drawing delegates from all over the world, and there are

currently only four spaces left available. So you'll need to nip along

We're also planning to assemble a subsequent anthology of Harry Potter

criticism with Unlocking Press, publishers of

</i>(2011, ed. Travis Prinzi). Also, selected presentations will later be
