We are looking for a postdoctoral candidate to provide maternity cover

for the Research Assistant on the 3 year project 'Mediated humanitarian

knowledge; audience reactions and moral actions' funded by the Leverhulme

Trust. The post will be for six months starting from September 2012,

exact date to be confirmed but the successful candidate must be available

to start at this point <br><br>

As well as providing administrative support, the RA will contribute to

the data analyses and the writing of reports. The Research Assistant will

also help with organizing and running three Action Research meeting with

NGOs representatives. <br><br>

We are looking for someone with experience in Discourse Analysis and

Action Research and, ideally, in biographical and narrative analysis

(experience in BNIM would be highly beneficial). Some knowledge in

psychosocial studies would be a great asset. Knowledge of the field /

debates on humanitarianism and/or humanitarian communications would be an

advantage. <br><br>

Salary: Ł31,020 p.a., pro-rata (LA: Ł2,946 p.a., pro-rata)<br><br>
