<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">The Lavender Languages and Linguistics conference, dedicated to language and sexuality research, has run annually since 1993. In February 2016, scholars exploring aspects of LGBTQ language and representation will again
meet in Washington D.C. for LavLang23. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">In April 2017 – for the first time in its history – scholars will convene in the UK, with the conference being hosted at the University of Nottingham. LavLang will retain its inclusive and supportive atmosphere, and students
and scholars with an interest in language and sexuality (broadly defined) will be welcome.
