Bowdoin College announces a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level
in the field of global feminism broadly defined. We seek a social scientist
working at the intersections of gender, race, and social justice whose research
is located outside of Europe and the Americas or who incorporates transnational
or diasporic approaches to these regions. We especially invite applications
from those who can contribute to both gender and sexuality aspects of the
curriculum or who can address student interests in either social movements,
law, medicine, or science in society. We expect the successful candidate to
have prior interdisciplinary graduate training and teaching experience in
gender, women’s, and sexuality studies, although we also welcome applications
