The deadline for nominations is Monday, November 4, 2024, after which time members will be given the opportunity to vote for their preferred candidates.</span><div><span><br></span><span>IGALA is embarking on an exciting period of change. While the excellence of our journal Gender & Language and our biennial conference remain our core strengths, we are hoping to see our caring, critical, and courageous community grow substantially over the next three years. We’d love you to be part of making this happen!</span></div><div><span><br></span><a href="https://forms.gle/PScX8vLnhthcoHvY8">Please nominate yourself here.</a><span><br></span><span><br></span></div><div><span>The Advisory Council consists of 5-8 gender and language scholars who are elected by IGALA members to input into our strategy and operations. </span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>At least one member of the Advisory Council must be a graduate student and be willing to represent the interests of the broader grad student community on the council.</span><span><br></span><span><br></span></div><div><span>The Advisory Council should furthermore represent as broad a geographic and linguistic spectrum as possible.
