<p class="MsoNormal">Thank you for voting in our recent elections for a new Vice-President/President-Elect, Communications Officer, Secretary, and Treasurer. I am delighted to announce that Melissa Yoong, Ungku Khairunnisa Ungku Mohd Nordin, Scott Burnett,
and Brian King have been elected to these roles: enormous congratulations to them all! Our sincere thanks to all those who ran for election, with whom we hope to be able to work in the future.

<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The full membership of the IGALA Board is given below for information. I will now step into the President position, and Denise Troutman – having served us as President since August 2023 – will move to the Past President role. Our thanks
to Denise for her ongoing commitment to IGALA, and to Clare Maree who now steps down from this position. Thanks, too, to our previous Communications Officer Farieda Zulaika, and to Scott Burnett for staying on as Secretary.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">I look forward to working with the Board over the next couple of years, as we seek to increase the profile of IGALA and evaluate how well we represent our international community. We will be actively supporting the continued development
of our fabulous journal <i>Gender and Language</i> and looking ahead to IGALA14 in July 2027 (and beyond!). If any of our members who aren’t on the Board would like to share your thoughts or feedback on any aspect of IGALA, please do get in touch with me:
