I'm working from Vigfusson and Powell's Corpus Poeticum Boreale. It's a
nice two volume set, if a little old (1883), idiosyncratic and fairly rare
(mine belongs to CSU Long Beach). It has a spelling which retains the
probable original or older forms rather than standardized Old West Norse
(e.g. -o endings, es for er, etc.), and a prose translation with a strong
classicist flavor to it runs along the bottom of the page. A bandaged-up
Hamdismal is found in Vol. 1 (Eddic Poetry) beginning on page 52; the
Gudrun Chain of Woes on p. 328 (of which the first part is apparently a
fragment B version of Hamdismal). In the appendix is much material,
including latin songs, reconstruction and comparison of duplicate texts,
and a discussion of Teutonic meter.
