  {sa}: demonstrative or article?

I should have said, that in "lord of the Sabbath", there is a need to say that
here "Sabbath" means "all Sabbaths, the Sabbath as an institution", rather
than merely "this Saturday" or "next Saturday" or similar. That may have
influenced Wulfila as to whether or not to put the {thamma} in.
