[gothic-l] Gaut, *Gautoz, gjuta, giessen

I was wondering about the statement underneath that the name
of the god Gaut "is simply the tribal name" and shouldn't
it be *Gautoz. What other meanings could be possible
for Gaut- than the relation to gjuta, giessen? Just curious.
