Nikolai,

If the Goths originated in Scandza (Scandinavia) they
were still Germanic but the Goths are generally regarded
as an East Germanic people.

For Romania I can recommend the _Studia Gotica_ (Stockholm
1972) which is in German and has several chapters on the Goths
in present day Romania, for example:

G. Mitrea: "Die Goten an der unteren Donau - einige
Probleme in III.-IV. Jahrhundert"

K.Horedt, "Neue Goldschaetze des 5. Jahrhunderts aus Rumaenien
(ein Beitrag zur Geschichte der Ostgoten und Gepiden)".

But I am sure there is later material.
