As Tore said earlier, it is worth pointing out that these runic
stones are dated to the 7th or even 8th century. Thus, Hathuwolf and
Hariwolf were anything but Erulic kings, because Eruli ceased to
exist in the middle of the 6th century.

The writing Oxos seems to be a mix-up of Latin and Greek letters. The
Greek 'x' should be transliterated into 'ch'. As Sonderegger pointed
out, Procopius' Ochos is a commonly known Persian name of his time
and can not be emendated into a Germanic name.

Why is there 'no doubt'? Of course it has to be a mistake, because it
does not fit the favourite theory;) Datius was a common Roman name at
the time. There is no reason to expect an error.
