Could this "lutum" stem from dative plural of a word "lut"?
Because in that case it might be the same word as ON "hlutr"
which means "part", as in a part of the land, which would
indicate property being divided as in an inheritance case.

I recall this word "arbi" also occurring on some rune stone.
(I forget which one right now.), which would document it as
a Nordic word contemporaneous with Gothic. Now it is "arv",
"arving" -> please ask the Swedes for the contemporary
Swedish forms. I would think this word is uniform in most
Germanic. e.g. Dutch "ervenis".
