Having reread Tore's fine booklet _The Origin of the Svear_
(extended new edition 1994) it would be interesting to know
a little more on the stand of the theories today.

Some Ostrogoths migrated seemingly to England
after the fall of the Ostrogothic kingdom in Italy.
Finds in the Sutton Hoo grave is indicating both connections
to the Ostrogoths and to the Gutar on Gotland

One link would be the Getae of Beowulf who are in reality
according to Tore Gotlanders. The Gotlanders had
contacts with the Ostrogoths throughout their history
up until the fall of the Ostrogithic kingdom (the last Ostrogoths
in Italy surrendered in 555 AD.

Bronze kettles of Gotlandic origin have been found in
the Sutton Hoo grave. Swedish Professor Sune Lindqvist
is of the opinion that there is a link between Beowulf's Getae
and the Sutton Hoo finds.
