Gibal

He was an Ostrogothic ship commander. Compare to
Gibicha (Gjuke), the Burgundian king, in Nordic tradition
of the Gjukungar family. His wife was Grimhild.

Goar

A Gothic captive from Dalmatia. Compare Godan, the name
of Odin in Paulus Diaconus.

Also Icelandic Gode = chieftain.

Herodian

He was commander of Cumae. Compare to Herroed, son of
a King of Gautland/Goetland. In the Orvar Odd saga he is king of
the Huns.
