Tacitus also talks about Gothiones who work the iron mines and speak a Gaulic (Celtic?) language. Where was their mine? Poland, Slovakia? Dacia?

What does Strabo have to say about the Goths?

Is the steppe north of the Black and Caspian Seas rocky enough to require horseshoes?

What about metal tires on the wagon wheels?

Well, some but not all, and some few archaeologists as well have this
interpretation of course. There are enough different indications by
the classical descriptions that you could assume they lived in several
areas-not just one.There is no absolute truth known about this.
