Le,

Two times come to mind as golden ages of the Goths.

The mid 4th C CE north of the Danube and Black Sea, and the sixth and seventh centuries in Spain and France. The former had the Empire of Hermanric which may have extended from the Black Sea to the Baltic. The western semi autonomous part of the early gothic empire was in Dacia (Romania), a rich former province of the Roman Empire that is filled with archeological sites of the Gothic Era. Their major contributions the Wulfilas Bible and the rule of law they established with the Gothic codes. The East was famously overwhelmed by the Huns which in turn lead to the destruction of the Roman Empire.

As the Visigoths finally settle in Spain and southern France, they established the concept of Spain as a nation and gave a permanent air of independence to Aquitaine in southern France. Both of these areas have extensive archeological remains of their occupation.

The Windsors of England of course are tied to the Goths of Thuringia in southwestern Germany.

Now, that's culture.

When I said Gothic age I meant when did their civilization if they had one flourish. Art, Architecture, Pottery, Jewelry, where were their trade routes? What products were sold and to whom? Who purchased their weapons of war?
These are all things which made a civilization.

When did the Gothic age begin so to speak? Was there a Proto-Gothic?
