Summing up our efforts on "knight":

1. kaballareis M.-ja (general term)

2. katafraktus M.-u, katafraktareis M.-ja, kleibanareis M.-ja
(learned words, specially referring to Roman-Byzantine heavy cavalry)

3. reidands M.-nd (just "rider", "warrior on horseback")

4. aihvaraidamanna M. irreg. (archaic, poetic)

5. baraga M.-an (archaic, specially referring to Hunnish and Alanic
cavalry, metaphorically about cavalry of Eastern powers – Sipahi,
Cossacks...)

6. þaihns or þigns M.-a (knight as a vassal)

7. drauhtiguma M.-an, drauhtimagus M.-u (archaic, poetic, referring
to "elite warrior", "warlord's guardsman", metaphorically: "security
officer", "bodyguard" (?), ironically: "true
follower", "unconditional supporter")
