Dear Dirk,

There are two patterns of adjective-declensions: the strong and the weak. The weak is used after the pronouns 'sa, so, thata,' and their various forms, and with the comparative forms of all adjectives (regardless of whether the aforesaid pronouns appear or not). Pronominal adjectives (apart from 'sama' and 'silba') are always strong, so too cardinal numbers when treated as adjectives, as well as a handful of other adjectives. (For further details, see Braune/Heidermanns 'Gotische Grammatik', no. 121-132.)

 Masculine:

 nom. sg. strong: triggws hairdeis
nom. sg. weak: sa triggwa hairdeis

 Fem.

 nom. sg. strong: triggwa aithei
nom. sg. weak: so triggwo aithei
