[gothic-l] Translating creeds?

 “begotten,” “according to the scriptures,” “as it is written,”  :

I would translate, as it is written as:

Swe meliþ ist

As:  meliþ ist, is attested in several places in the Gothic Bible and swe
simply means: as. I don't know however which form would be appropriate here:

swe meliþ ist
swaswe meliþ ist
swa meliþ ist

I couldn't really find rules about that.

"according to the scriptures", I think that scriptures were simply
translated as: "bokos", some people also translate it as: "weihons bokos"
(the holy books).

According to is simply "bi" in several places, and is accompanied by an
accusative, thus:

Bi bokos
or:
Bi weihona bokos  ( -ona = weak feminine plural declension)
