For the Conference on the Acquisition of Spanish and Portuguese All
topics in the field of first, second, bilingual and impaired
acquisition of Spanish, Portuguese or other Iberian languages
(Catalan, Gallego, Basque, etc.) will be fully considered.

For the Hispanic Linguistics Symposium

All topics in Hispanic Linguistics from different theoretical
perspectives will be fully considered.

Submission Guidelines for the two Conferences

1.      Authors can submit two abstracts-one individual and one joint.
These can be for one conference each or both for the same conference.

2.      Five (5) copies of an anonymous, clearly titled one-page
abstract
(single-spaced with 1 inch margin throughout, Times New Roman, 12 point
font)
for review. There can be an additional page for references.

3.      One (1) copy of the same abstract with name and institutional
affiliation to include in the conference program.

4.      For EACH author, an index card with the following information:
conference, title of paper, area or research, name, academic
affiliation,
current/summer address, phone and fax number, e-mail, and audiovisual
requests.


Abstracts submitted must represent original research. Presentations will
be
minutes long, plus 10 minutes for questions. All authors who present
papers at
the conference will be invited to contribute their papers to a refereed
volume
of selected papers.

Deadline:  All submissions must be received by May 1, 2001.
