GENERAL INFORMATION

The National Association for the Education and Advancement of Cambodian,

Laotian, and Vietnamese Americans (NAFEA) is a non-profit organization
serving professionals who are Southeast Asians, and those who work with
the
Southeast Asian community in the fields of education, social services
and
community development.

Our annual conference brings together individuals from across the United

States who share a common interest in Southeast Asian issues. The
two-day
conference will feature workshops, intensive institutes, training
sessions,
sharing sessions and panel presentations. Saturday afternoon is
especially
dedicated to the Ethnic Studies Institutes, which are essentially open
community forums, some of which will be conducted in primary languages.

NAFEA 20th Annual Conference will be held on May 18-20, 2000 in Anaheim,

California. The focus of this conference is to commemorate the 25 years

since the existence of our first Southeast Asian American communities
and to
validate NAFEA's past 20 years of leadership and service to Southeast
Asian
American students and families.
