I want to discuss the characteristics among different dialects of
Latin American Spanish among immigrant groups in the US. If possible
I would like to study 3 subgroups of Hispanics - Mexican, Cuban,
Puerto rican, etc... From this information I want to develop materials
and a plan specific to each group that Speech Pathologists can use to
accomplish accent reduction. I will then use the plan I develop and
test it using 5-10 subjects from each group studied and see how
effective each plan was in accomplishing accent reduction.

I would appreciate information on materials, books, articles, etc.
that discuss dialect differences among Hispanics. Any contacts with
specialists would be wonderful!!

Thank you very much again
Deborah
