Assistant Professor, Tenure Track

Assistant Professor, Tenure Track, in the field of instructed SLA,
grounded in contemporary theory and research.  Required background:
solid background in contemporary approaches to language teaching (for
example, task-based and content-based instruction, immersion).  Prefer
secondary experience, and/or experience with Spanish/English
bilingualism or bilingual education.

Duties: to teach in, and oversee the curricular development of, the
undergraduate Teacher Education program and to teach in the emerging
concentration in SLA at the doctoral level.  Doctoral degree in hand
by start of appointment (August 2002).  Clear research agenda and
demonstrable excellence in teaching.  Applications will be accepted
until the position is filled. Pending final authorization.
