The Program in Linguistics and Cognitive Science at Dartmouth College
invites applications for a position in Morphosyntax at the rank of
Assistant Professor to begin July 1, 2002. The successful candidate
should have a specialization in Syntactic and/or Morphological Theory
and a research agenda that includes work on an endangered or lesser
studied language.  Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in linguistics by
Fall 2002, have a strong commitment to research and the ability to
teach a range of courses at the undergraduate level.  Top
consideration will be given to those candidates who are actively
engaged in fieldwork.

Interviews will be held in January, 2002 at the LSA meeting in San
