Join national experts Ana Roca (Florida International University) and
Mara Carreira (California State University at Long Beach) in a
discussion of best practices in teaching Spanish to native speakers
(SNS). This professional development conference is targeted to teachers
of Spanish as a native/heritage language at levels K-12 in Chicago
Public Schools, private/parochial schools, and suburban schools, and
also at the post-secondary level. Participants will learn from national
and local experts, share and network with other Spanish for native
speakers teachers, enter a raffle to win SNS books, and earn CPDUs. This
workshop is organized by the University of Illinois at Chicago's
Heritage Language Teacher Corps and is funded through a grant from the
U.S. Department of Education. Additional information is available at
