Hello,

My name is Lisa Patterson and I’m the Video Production
Coordinator at Cape Breton University in Nova Scotia,
Canada. Our university has a research chair in Integrative
Science which is researching the common ground between
western science and the tradition knowledge of the Mi'kmaq
First Nations of Atlantic Canada. The website for the
program is http://msit.capebretonu.ca Dr. Cheryl Bartlett
is leading this research and recently she had a special
request by a Mi’kmaq Elder. In their efforts to retain
their language, the Elder asked if it would be possible to
have the movie Bambi translated into the Mi’kmaq language.
She had heard that it had been done elsewhere. Today, I
came across a number of websites which refer to the
translation of Bambi in the Arapaho language. What I am now
trying to track down are any people who were involved with
this project who could offer advice and direction for making
this happen. Any leads would be very much appreciated.

Thank you,

Lisa Patterson
