I'm a documentary filmmaker researching a film on language
immersion education and American attitudes toward
bilingualism. I'm wondering if you might point me to any
resources that could help me understand the experience of
heritage language speakers in English only schools.

I'm particularly interested in learning what percentage of
students start kindergarten with proficiency in a language
other than English, but finish high school with only English
profiency. Does that data exist? Any suggestions would be
most welcome.

Thanks.
