The Northwest Indian Language Institute¹s 2010 Summer Institute
June 21-July 2, 2010
University of Oregon - Eugene, Oregon
  
  
Please join us for the 13th annual NILI Summer Institute at the University of Oregon. Summer Institute begins on Monday, June 21, 2010 and ends on Friday, July 2, 2010. Course offerings this year will include Sahaptin 1 & 2, Tolowa Dene, Lushootseed, Chinuk Wawa, beginning, intermediate and
advanced linguistics, teaching methods for classroom language teaching, elements of immersion language teaching, culture place-based curriculum writing, story book making, and multimedia materials development 1 & 2.

Tuition is $1400 for 6 UO credits. Material and computer lab fees are $150. All Summer Institute participants will receive a $70 scholarship to attend the 17th Annual Stabilizing Indigenous Languages Symposium.
  
 
The Institute will be held in conjunction with InField ­ training in language documentation, and the 17th Annual Stabilizing Indigenous Languages Symposium, the Athabaskin/Dene , Hokan-Penutian and the 45th International
Conference on Salish and Neighboring Languages conferences.
