Association of the Southwest (LASSO 2002). This international conference will

and <st1:place><st1:City>Pasadena</st1:City>, <st1:State>California</st1:State></st1:place>, on
<st1:date Month="10" Day="4" Year="2002">October 4-6, 2002</st1:date>. <strong><b><font
face="Times New Roman">The plenary speakers are Charles Li and Audrey Li. </font></b></strong>The
conference will focus on Asian/Pacific Rim languages, but papers or poster
sessions in any area of linguistics are welcome. <strong><b><font
face="Times New Roman">Please note that the deadline for submissions has been
extended to June 15, 2002.</font></b></strong> You do not have to be a
LASSO member to submit an abstract, but if your abstract is accepted you must
become a member to be a presenter and be included in the program. The dues
