of Khmer (ASK)<BR><BR>Royal University of Phnom Penh<BR><BR><BR>June 29- July
25, 2003<BR><BR> <BR><BR><BR>This program is an intensive four-week course
in Khmer language and is made<BR>available to students and other interested
people at the intermediate level<BR>or above. Application must be (1) US
citizens or permanent residents and (2)<BR>university juniors, seniors or
graduate students; teachers or education<BR>administrators. Fellowships covering
round trip airfare, tuition, and living<BR>expenses are available to applicants
who qualify. It is a "one-of-a-kind"<BR>opportunity to acquire the linguistic
foundation necessary to engage in<BR>academic research, professional discourse,
cultural interaction with all<BR>segments of Cambodian society, and experimental
living in Cambodia.<BR><BR>The Advanced Study of Khmer Language (ASK) is
sponsored by the Center for<BR>Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS) at the University
