2. Ph.D. Studentships (tuition fees and maintenance) <br>
Applicants who are eligible and suitably qualified should apply
simultaneously <br>
for AHRC funding (details below). <br>

3. Ph.D. and M.A. Bursaries (partial awards) <br>
Up to 7 Ph.D. bursaries of £3000 each and 6 M.A. fee bursaries of £3000
each <br>
within the School, plus named awards in certain subject areas. <br>

4. Chinese Studies Fee Bursaries <br>
2 bursaries of up to £4000 each for students interested in pursuing <br>
interdisciplinary research on China/the Chinese-speaking world. <br>
<br>
5. Graduate Teaching Fellowships (GTFs) <br>
3 GTFs in the following areas: 2 Polish (both 0.5) and Portuguese. The GTF
will <br>
be required to undertake a Ph.D. programme of study and to teach for 6
hours per <br>
week full-time or 3 hours part-time. <br>
<br>
6. AHRC Funding <br>
The result of the University's bid to the AHRC for a fixed number of
Master's <br>
and Doctoral awards will be known at the end of February. The School
anticipates <br>
it will have a number of studentships available across its discipline
areas. <br>
