Dear Ans Van Kemenade,

Thank you for your invitation to the The 19th International
Conference on Historical Linguistics. what a pity i missed your dead line to present my work, Language and Identity - Cognate Bilingual Dictionaries, which i just presented last week in the 54th ILA Conferenece in Saint John's University, New York -and last winter at Alba Iulia, Mallorca, and Temple Universities.

i simply would like to let you know guys that historical linguistics has a tremendous potential in applied linguistics, particularly in bilingual lexicography and foreign language teaching with tools that still have to be designed and implemented, so i encourage you to do research in comparative linguistics of indo-european languages (and others) in the fields of semantics and syntax like a multilingual dictionary with phrases as examples of use.
