Abstracts are solicited for 30-minute papers (followed by discussion sessions on thematically related papers) on any aspect of Old Germanic syntax. Preference is given to theoretically informed work on a sound empirical basis, and work on Germanic languages other than English is strongly encouraged. Choice of topic is open, but suggestions are: word order change; the development of the verb-particle construction, the rise of verbal periphrasis, negation, changes in NP-structure. The deadline for abstracts is 1 March 2003. Notification of acceptance will be given by 1 April 2003. Please submit a 500 word abstract by e-mail to the organisers, u.demske at mx.uni-saarland.de, and A.v.Kemenade at let.kun.nl. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
