I seem to remember hearing, on an anecdotal level, that the form mensarum
(genitive plural of mensa, recited by possibly millions of schoolchildren,
Sir Winston Churchill being only the most famous example) is nowhere
actually attested in Classical Latin. Any references?

Thanks in advance,

Robert Orr
