Does anyobody know of any HPSG work implementing a form of deletion by
stipulating that the PHONOLOGY of a daughter sign does not become part of
the PHONOLOGY of the mother under some circumstances? I have a feeling I
have come across this somewhere but I have no idea where.

I am now a member of the Department of Language and Linguistics at the
University of Essex (http://www.essex.ac.uk/linguistics/), and am in
Essex most of the time. However, it is convenient at present to go on
using my Bangor e-mail address.
