Hi Aaron,

Well, your student might look at Barron's 1998 LFG paper in Linguistics, the
related LFG paper by Sadler (1997), the reply to that by Bender and Sag (2000
-- in the Cann, Grover and Miller, eds. HPSG proceedings volume; also
available from Emily's webpage or mine), and the rather strange reply to (an
earlier version of?) that by Nordlinger and Sadler (available at:
http://cslipublications.stanford.edu/LFG/5/lfg00-toc.html).
