WYSIWYG LaTeX-editor for Linux

Hi everybody,

thank you very much to all of you for letting me know your experiences
with WYSIWYG LaTeX-editors for Linux. I think I will give Kile a try
first and if that doesn't work for me look into Lyx. Shalom: thanks for
your reference to WinEdt which I have been using in Windows and will
continue using for most stuff, I guess, because it is indeed so
powerful. But I also need something for the Linux side of my laptop and
WinEdt doesn't seem to run well under emulators, I am told.
