         NEW JOB OPPORTUNITY AT ELRA/ELDA

ELRA/ELDA offers a position for its Information Dissemination
& Market Analysis department.
He/she will be in charge of managing the activities in
relation with information dissemination and communication
on a large scale.

The position includes, but is not limited to, the responsibility
of the following tasks:
- The management of the web sites maintained by ELRA/ELDA,
- the preparation of the ELRA newsletter (editorial and technical
work),
- the follow-up of the advertising and marketing material published
by ELRA/ELDA,
- the organisation and follow-up of the events and conferences in
which ELRA/ELDA is involved (in particular LREC and LangTech),
- the information dissemination,
- the follow-up of all sponsoring activities,
- the management of specific projects sponsored by external agencies,
- etc.

Several tasks dedicated to internal activities are also under
his/her responsibility:
- The preparation of monthly ELRA members' information bulletin,
- participation in the cataloguing of the language resources offered
to the HLT community,
- etc.

Profile:
- Knowledge in computational linguistics, information science,
knowledge management or similar fields,
- Knowledge and/or experience in HTML and related languages
and tools,
- Knowledge and/or experience in the use of publishing tools,
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team,
- Proficiency in at least 2 European languages, including English,

Experience in project management, including the management of
European projects, is a plus.

Applications will be considered until the position is filled;
however, a final decision will be made by the end of
year 2004/very beginning of 2005. The position is based in
Paris and candidates should have the citizenship (or residency
papers) of a European Union country.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
