Sorry, this is not a good argument.

Even when one has very strong evidence that a crime has been committed, one is obligated to follow the procedures of due process.

This should not be controversial.

Right, I agree that the identities of the person who committed the offence and the person against whom it was committed are not relevant to
this discussion.
