We the organizers of HPSG 2015 and the DELPH-IN 2015 summit hereby invite you to a first-of-its-kind shared event in Singapore on the weekend sandwiched between DELPH-IN and HPSG. On Sunday, 9 August, we will convene a set of three sessions devoted to collaborative design of linguistic analyses that are theoretically grounded, empirically justified, and amenable to implementation. In each of the sessions, a grammar developer will present a challenging linguistic phenomenon as yet lacking an adequate implementable analysis for that grammar, and invite participants, both theoreticians and grammar engineers, to work together on the design of candidate analyses.

If you are a developer of a computational grammar, you are invited to submit a proposal to lead one of these Linguistic Analysis Design 90-minute sessions, including the following elements in order to make the sessions maximally productive:

(1) a description of the target phenomenon
(2) relevant background information on the language and the existing grammar
(3) a list of any salient publications related to the phenomenon or the grammar
(4) a set of crucial examples exemplifying the phenomenon
(5) any candidate designs for this phenomenon that you have already considered

Please send your proposal by 30 June to Dan Flickinger:
danf at stanford.edu
so that we the organizers can determine which three grammarians will enjoy the privilege of having so much assembled brain power and expertise applied to their analysis challenge.

The schedule for this LAD shared event in Singapore is as follows:
